1st Chilwell and Attenborough Scout Troop re-opened in September 2003 and since then over 45 scouts have joined the troop and benefited from the fun activities and games that go on. New scouts, both male and female aged between 10 1/2 and 14 1/4, are always welcome. Please get in touch if you are interested in joining the scout section at 1st C&A.

What activities do the scouts do?
At 1st C&A we try to offer a varied programme of activities that cover the width and breadth of what scouting is all about. But no matter what we do, it's always important to have fun.

An important part of being a scout is not just getting on well with you troop but also with the other local troops. Every year, 1st C&A scouts take part in the District events and competitions which have included a 6-a-side football competition, chess, a quiz night, Splash-In swimming gala, Cross-country run, St George's Day Parade, First Aid competition, a bike hike, Jardine camping competition, science nights and the District Camp. These activities add an extra dimension to the activity programme for the troop.
